Help Commemorate Nation's, State's Anniversaries.

The local organizing committee (LOC) of America 150 - Colorado 150, a commission created by legislation to support events and activities that honor the two anniversaries, will meet on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, from 4:00-5:30pm at the LaPlata County Exhibit Building. In 2026 the United States and Colorado will commemorate two founding events: the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence creating our nation in tandem with Colorado honoring its 150th year of statehood. This is an opportunity for interested individuals and organizations to learn more about the kinds of activities and events our region is hoping to produce in 2026.
