It doesn’t matter if you are writing a mystery, drama, comedy or action adventure story — the principals of good writing are the same and you’d be amazed how a simple thing like humor in the right place and the right time can save your cookies. One of the most important and simplest tricks of the trade is how to get the reader hooked and involved as quickly as possible; how to make your characters as human and recognizable as you can. Come to the workshop with an idea for a story, and Arnold will help you flesh it out and put you on the road to a TV or playwriting script. Are there rules to be learned about writing? Are there things that a writer should avoid like the plague? The answer is YES to both questions. The most important thing that any writing wannabe must learn is that writing can and must be fun!
