Its our favorite time of year where the magic and mystery of ancient cultures and practices emerge and share with us the secrets that have been lost to antiquity! Come join us at the White Dragon Tearoom as we celebrate "Dia De Los Muertos"--the Day of the Dead!
We'll kick off this event by hosting a reception for our 'Chocolate Elixir's' to the public. The evening will begin with a short discussion of chocolate (cacao) and its origins within the mesoamerican and pre-columbian cultures, which will then be followed by a short documentary movie titled "The Sacred Realm of Chocolate in Mesoameria".
This evening will not only stimulate the mind, but your senses as well. Join us as we delve deep into the cultural, ceremonial, and even ritualistic practices of how cacao was integrated into mesoamerican life, how it literally has changed the world economy of the early america's, and the rest of the global community!
Afterwards there will be a short Question & Answer session if you wish to delve deep into the mysteries of the cacao plant! There will be a variety of chocolate elixirs for sampling and for sale as well! We encourage you to take some of this rich history home with you as you enjoy the realms that our Chocolate Elixirs have to offer!
