DURANGO, Colo. - The Fort Lewis College women's soccer team earned the No. 2 seed in the South Central Region. Fort Lewis plays St. Edwards University on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. at Dirk's Field on the FLC Campus.
The 48-team bracket consists of six teams from each region, and 12 tournament hosts in the first and second rounds. The top two seeds in each region will host a first and second round game. As the No. 2 seed, Fort Lewis will receive a bye in the first round.
The Skyhawks are making their fifth NCAA tournament appearance in the last seven years. The Skyhawks, who are 2-4-1 all-time in the NCAA post-season, reached their farthest round of the tournament in 2010. That year, Fort Lewis tied with Metro State, 0-0, in the second round but advanced on penalty kicks. In the third round, FLC defeated Winona State, 2-1, before falling to Grand Valley State in the Quarterfinal round.
