Holiday keg tapping at Steamworks! December firkin to be tapped on the 6th is a Steamworks staff favorite that we call “Train Smoke”. Were going call this on the “Train Wreck”. It’s a 50/50 blend of our Conductor Imperial IPA and Backside Stout. The bartenders will blend it off the faucet so we just thought we’d save them the trouble and do the blending ourselves in a cask conditioned beer. The resulting flavor is an aggressively hopped ale with the roasted coffee and chocolate characteristics typical of a stout. It closely resembles an increasingly popular emerging style in the craft brewing world call a Black IPA. Should be a real delight.
