Eleven brass players of exceptional abilities bring you Christmas music that will set the stage for your holiday season. This year we're excited to add C. Scott Hagler on organ, making it an even dozen. Members of this exceptional brass ensemble come from Farmington, Durango, Denver, Albuquerque and Santa Fe and range from tuba to piccolo trumpets. Music of Handel, Bach, Mozart, Fauré, Holst and many traditional Christmas tunes will delight young and old alike. The centerpiece of the concert is a wonderful arrangement of "O Magnum Mysterium" by Morten Lauridsen. Best Brass of Christmas began its run of concerts seven years ago at Sacred Heart Parish in Farmington. Since that first concert Best Brass has traveled to Santa Fe, Los Alamos and now Durango, for a second time. Also included in their concertizing this year will be Cortez.
