This six-hour class is spread over TWO evenings, Sunday Sep 28 and Monday Sep 29, from 6-9 pm both nights. On Sunday night you will cut and polish a fluorescent stone and form a fine silver bezel to fit that stone. On Monday you solder the bezel to a sterling backplate, make a bail (where the chain goes through) and set your stone. Just for fun, a mini UV flashlight is included to light up your finished pendant.
Skills include stone cutting and polishing, metal forming and sawing, soldering, and finishing. This class is suitable for a beginner with no prior soldering or metalsmith experience.
The fee is $175 and includes sterling silver sheet and wire. Stones will also be provided. To register for the class, email the instructor Jama Crawford at jama.e.crawford@gmail.com. Payment, by cash, check or Venmo, is due upon arrival at class.
