The city of Durango will host a bike parade in anticipation of Durango being chosen to host the 2030 Union Cyclist International Mountain Bike World Championship, 40 years after it hosted the inaugural competition in 1990.

The parade will be led by local cycling champions, including the winner of the Vuelta a España Sepp Kuss, Olympian Todd Wells, Jr., National Champion Cooper Wells, and Olympian Riley Amos.

Bikers can begin lining up for the parade at 4:45 p.m. and will take off with our Durango champions at 5:30 p.m. after a presentation from the city announcing whether the city has been designated as the location for the 2030 world championship. The parade will begin at the intersection of Main Avenue and 12th Street and proceed to 5th Street, where bikers will loop up to East 2nd Avenue and continue back to 12th Street.
