The artists of The ArtRoom Collective at The Smiley are demonstrating their commitment to community through “Art with Purpose”, a silent auction benefitting a range of local charities. Each participating artist has selected a nonprofit close to their heart and will donate 100% of the proceeds from their auctioned artwork.

This holiday season, many in our community are experiencing uncertainty and hardship. Moments like these call us to show up for one another and remember how deeply interconnected we are.

To put that care into action, more than twelve ArtRoom artists are auctioning original pieces. Look for the red balloons - a symbol of the Collective’s shared belief that art can inspire, uplift, and strengthen our community. We invite the public to stop by, bid on "Art with Purpose", and help nurture a sense of belonging right here at home.

Bidding is open now through mid-December at The ArtRoom Collective, located in the historic Smiley Building at 1309 East Third Avenue, Durango, Colorado. Visitors can meet local artists, watch live demonstrations, and shop from a diverse selection of handcrafted work including paintings, jewelry, pottery, hats, and more.

Participating artists include: Sharon Abshagen, Cindy Atchison, Becca Conrad-Whitehead, Jennifer Floyd, Heather Freeman, Alison Heavirland, Kathleen Keene Jones, Lindsay Keller, Emily Lloyd, Brittany Osborn, Ya’el Pedroza, Val Russell, and Diane Thornton.

The ArtRoom Collective is Durango’s working studio gallery, home to 23 artists who create and sell their handmade goods. Monthly First Friday Artist Socials invite the community to connect, explore, and be inspired.
