Encaustics Workshop with Michael Billie Saturday, March 29 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Encaustic painting is a technique of painting with beeswax mixed a resin and pigments. In this introductory encaustic workshop, students will learn how to make their own wax mediums and mix colors and what materials are required to do so. Explorations using a hot box, embedding objects and fusing will all be covered. A $10 materials fee is paid directly to the instructor on the day of the workshops.
