Spring skiing hits its peak on April 5 at Purgatory Resort with the annual Pond Skim, the highlight of the day, along with two on-mountain parties featuring High West and Aperol.

Pond Skim | 12:30–3 p.m. | Ski Beach
Watch skiers and riders attempt to skim across the pond in costume for style points, bragging rights and prizes. Space is limited to the first 100 participants.

Sign-ups begin at 9:30 a.m. the day of the event at the Ticket Office (will call desk).
• $20 entry fee
• Must be at least 12 years old
• Signed waiver required (parent/guardian must sign for participants under 18)

Participants are encouraged to bring speed, creativity and their best costumes. Leave ski poles at home. Prizes include items from local vendors and sponsors, plus grand prize jackets from Nivis Gear.

Aperol Beach Party | 12–2 p.m. | Ski Beach
Cheer on pond skimmers while enjoying Aperol specials and prize giveaways on the Beach.

High West Party | 12–2 p.m. | Purgy’s
Take a mid-run break at Purgy’s with High West specials, samples and music outside on a sunny spring afternoon.

Costumes are encouraged across the mountain.
