The Durango Kennel Club is pleased to announce that it will hold its 47th annual AKC licensed Conformation, Obedience, and Rally Competition. Over 300 dogs will compete for the Best in Show, High in Trial, and Best of the Best. Dogs will also be competing for the Farm Dog Certification on Thursday.
“We are delighted to welcome spectators back to the Durango Kennel Club’s annual Dog Show in Farmington,” said Brady Turner, Durango Kennel Club President. “Not only is this a fun activity for families but it is the perfect place to talk to breed experts about topics such as training, grooming and the right breed for your lifestyle. An AKC dog show is also a great place to start your search for a responsible breeder.”
On Thursday we will also be holding a Farm Dog Certification test. This is open to all breeds of dogs, purebred and mixed breeds. Day of entries will be accepted for the Farm Dog Certification.
The show is open to the public and is free to attend. The show starts at 9:00am on Thursday and 8:00am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Due to limited space, we request that you leave dogs not entered and baby strollers at home.
There will be several vendors at the show, including Store 4 Dogs which sells a large variety of dog-related treats and supplies and Scissor Sharpening, so if you have some dull scissors at home, bring them for a tune-up.
