The Rochester Hotel presents Durango Open Mic Poetry Night
On a hot August evening, come cool off beneath the trees in the beautiful Rochester Hotel Garden for poetry, storytelling, good company and a little First Friday magic.
The historic Rochester has been part of Durango since 1892, and on First Friday its garden becomes one of downtown's most inviting stages. The Peeples Bar will be open, the town will be hopping, and the microphones will be waiting.
Bring a poem. Bring a story. Or simply bring yourself, find a seat beneath the trees and enjoy the journey.
Readers, storytellers and listeners are all welcome. Early arrival is recommended-this garden has a habit of filling up.
Parking available along 2nd Avenue and in nearby free lots.
A cool garden. A hot August night. A microphone beneath the trees.
That sounds like First Friday in Durango.
