Navajo scientists, Nancy Maryboy, Ph.D., and David Begay, Ph.D., of the Indigenous Education Institute, present “Navajo Skies,” a Navajo, or Diné, understanding of the cosmos. Created under a grant from NASA and in partnership with the University of California, Berkeley’s Space Sciences Laboratory, Dr. Maryboy and Dr. Begay have presented this module at the Smithsonian’s Air and Space Museum and the National Museum of the American Indian in addition to smaller museums across the country.
