Our Cowboy Parade is one of the largest, motor less parades in the country and always a family favorite. Entrants over the years include the LaPlata County Mounted Patrol (who traditionally serve as our color guard), beautiful 6-up Belgian draft teams, historic wagons and coaches, Texas Longhorns, young buckaroos on stick horses and fashionable ladies & gents dressed in period costume.

The Grand Marshal will be Francis Hotter who is 91 years old. She will be escorted by brother Lawrence Huntington who is 96 years old. The Hotter and Huntington families have been ranching in La Plata County since the 1880's.
