Dusky Nature Walk and Star Gazing
Sat, November 15, 2014
5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Place: Nature Center
Instructor: John Duwe and John Buting
Time: 5:00-8:00
Cost: Free for members, $10 for non-members
This is a great combination of natural history and astronomy. We will start the evening with a dusky walk to talk about bats and nocturnal animals at the Nature Center. Then, since last month’s astro-tour was rained out, we will have the chance to get one more in before winter. We'll get a last look at the Milky Way, arching high overhead in November and begin to focus on the Autumn sky, including our closest neighbor galaxy, magnificent Andromeda. We'll also showcase two planets not seen by more than 99% of Earth's inhabitants since the dawn of man, beautiful blue/green Uranus and Neptune. So come on out and become part of Astronomy's Top 1%.
