The Center of Southwest Studies invites the community to the final event of the Center's 50th anniversary year - the Black Boots, Black Bolo Holiday Gala on Friday, November 21st from 7:00-10:00 pm. The gala is a fundraiser to support the Center's free public programming and free museum entry and exhibits. A $45.00 ticket buys attendees delicious food, an adult drink ticket, entertainment by the "Be Frank Advanced Middle School Orchestra" (ages 11-13) performing holiday classics as well as progressive original works. A silent auction will kick off at 7:00 pm featuring wearable and one-of-a-kind items from contributing galleries: Toh-Atin, Open Shutter and Azul.
