DESCRIPTION
Join a naturalist from San Juan Mountains Association (SJMA) for a fun and educational snowshoe walk on Cherry Creek Rd in the San Juan National Forest on Saturday, February 7th from 10am – noon. Explore the variety of trees in our area and see how they survive the winter as well as what critters depend on them for their own survival. For ages 4 and up, accompanied by an adult. Snowshoes are provided for children. To sign up, contact MK@sjma.org or call 970-759-9113. This program is part of the Southwest Colorado Winter Ecology Series. San Juan Mountains Association, in partnership with San Juan National Forest and the BLM Tres Rios Field Office, promotes responsible care of natural and cultural resources through education and hands-on involvement.
