The 21st Annual Creativity Festivity 2015: Everyday Magic April 10-May 2

Creativity Festivity Special Events:
• The exhibit of children’s work will be integrated into the exhibit and open in the Barbara Conrad Gallery on Friday, April 10 from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

• The High School artwork will be shown in the Steaming Bean for the month of May.

• The annual High School Poetry Slam is Wednesday, April 22 in the DAC Theater. Sign up for reading starts at 5 p.m.

• The 4th grade writing contest winners will be honored during the opening reception on April 10.

• DAC Applause! presents the production of Xanadu, Jr. will be taken into the elementary schools to perform as well as offering two performances at DAC on Friday April 10 at 7 p.m. and Saturday April 11 at 1 p.m. Cost is $8. per ticket.

• Judith Reynolds presents the lecture Innocent Wisdom; The Influence of Children’s Art on 20th Century Artists on Thursday, April 2 from 3 to 4 p.m. The lecture is free to the public.

• Natalie Goldberg will attend the opening reception on March 27 to introduce herself and sell her book Living Color: Painting, Writing and the Bones of Seeing.

• Melanie Yazzie will hold an adult workshop called In Full Color- Exploring Monotypes introducing the monoprint and monotype methods and working with AKUA soy based inks on April 25 and 26, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Cost is $225. for DAC members $250 general.
