Cover Cropping for Soil Health Workshop
Sat, March 7, 2015
10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
First workshop of the 2015 Ohana Kuleana Community Garden Workshop Series
This workshop will cover some basics of soil health and why cultivating a healthy, living soil is the best thing you can do for your plants and veggies. Explore the benefits of cover cropping and how to choose the right mix of seed for your soil and gain experience with a hands on seeding of the Food Forest cover crop at the community garden. We will also learn, hands on, how to take a soil sample for a soil test for your garden.
