MASTER CLASS - IDA KAVAFIAN - Free Lecture

See expert violinist Ida Kavafian in an interactive lesson as she works with individual Conservatory students. Master Classes help strengthen students’ ability as the master gives them advice on how to play selections, gives demonstrations and corrects technique. Master classes provide artistic stimulation for both the performer and the audience. Spectators welcome!

The versatile Violinist/Violist Ida Kavafian has performed extensively as a soloist, as an Artist of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, co-founder of Tashi, OPUS ONE, Trio Valtorna and Bravo! Colorado in Vail, Artistic Director of Music from Angel Fire, former member of the renowned Beaux Arts Trio and faculty member at The Curtis Institute, Juilliard School and Bard College. She has premiered, toured and recorded many new works by such diverse composers as Toru Takemitsu, Michael Daugherty, Chick Corea, Wynton Marsalis and Mark O’Connor. She has also found great success with her hobby, raising prize winning purebred Vizsla dogs.
