Summertime means outdoor grilling, and June means that the Women’s Resource Center’s 12th-annual Men Who Grill will take over Buckley Park on Main Avenue for a day of feasting and fun. Men Who Grill is a fun-filled family event that features amateur grilling teams who create their best grilled delights for grilled-food enthusiasts to sample. And we’re not just talking meat, here. Some of last year’s included grilled kangaroo, finger lick-in ribs, and delectable grilled deserts!

eams decorate their stations and don costumes to create a festive atmosphere while they com-pete for best cuisine, booth theme, costume and people’s choice awards. Tickets are reasonably priced so the whole family can attend, and those who do spend their afternoon at the grill fest can get their fill of some of the most amazing grilled food in the Rocky Mountain West. Last year, the event attracted over 600 grill enthusiasts. The day includes live music by the Kirk James Blues Band and a beer tent provided by Steam-works. Soft drinks and water also are available.
