Gerald Balciar is interested in portraying a mood or feeling of his sculptures rather than recreating exact replicas of his subject. His art is noted for its readily identifiable style, which is grounded in an in-depth knowledge of animals, their behaviors and habitat.

Always alert to the awesome colors and forms of the dramatic interactions between land and sky in the West, Jim Bagley travels to places most others drive around or fly over or otherwise ignore. His quest is to locate, experience and document the splendor of the undiscovered and undeveloped and through his vast talent to keep it from being undervalued.
