Courageous Carnivores and Compromised Conservationists A lecture by Michael Soulé, environmentalist, conservation biologist, author and Professor Emeritus of Environmental Studies at University of California, Santa Cruz September 3 $10 Tickets sold at DAC Michael Soule will be introduced by Bruce Baizel ofEarthworks, an oil and gas accountability and advisory firm, co-founder of Round River Conservation Studies, and attorney and writer. Doors will open at 5:30 pm for a reception with tabling of information by San Juan Citizens Alliance,La Plata Open Space Conservancy, LPEA Solar Initiatives, Green Business Roundtable partners,Conservation Colorado, Great Old Broads for Wilderness, Healthy Community Food Systems, small organic growers and Maria’s Bookshop will offer selected titles. ***Michael will also be the keynote speaker at the Green Business Roundtable, at the Strater Hotel at 12 noon on Wednesday, September 2, 2015. Tickets may be purchased through SJCA.
