DESCRIPTION
Fort Lewis College invites you to hear from experts about how metals and sediments move through the environment, how we monitor them, and what we can and can’t know about the impacts of the Gold King Mine release. Panel of experts includes: Callie Cole, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Chemistry, Fort Lewis College Gary Gianniny, Ph.D., Professor of Geology, Fort Lewis College Rob Runkel, Ph.D., U.S. Geological Survey Joe Ryan, Ph.D., Professor of Civil, Environmental & Architectural Engineering, University of Colorado at Boulder Heidi Steltzer, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Biology, Fort Lewis College Ken Williams, Ph.D., Earth systems scientist, Lawrence Berkley National Laboratory, Department of Energy If you arrive before 5 p.m., free parking is available in Skyhawk and Stadium lots on the north side of campus.
