TASTE OF MUSIC
Offered free to more than 1,200 third- and fourth-grade students from the region including Durango, Bayfield, Dolores, Ignacio, Pagosa Springs, Silverton, Cortez and Mancos, Colorado. Children learn about the instruments used for classical and jazz music and also about concert etiquette by attending one of two concerts given by ensembles from the Fort Lewis College Music Department. For the majority of children, this is their first Concert Hall experience!
