We’ve been in continuous operation running train excursions on this 45-mile spur of the Denver & Rio Grande rail line since 1882. Much of the scenery remains unchanged since then. There’s no cell service or Wi-Fi through much of the terrain so you’ll be unplugged from the modern world. HomeGrown Hootenanny Night Bazaar!   Last year, we had a roaring success with our pivot to a "Passeggiata” neighborhood stroll model. Hundreds of community members came out of hibernation to enjoy an outdoor Animas City promenade, filled with “bizarre" phenomena such as busking musicians, wild circus performances, fire spinners, pop-up art, flash mob dances, roving goats and horses, hidden prizes from local artists and North Main District businesses, and much more.   More details to come.

After supper, The Bar D Wranglers perform their famous old west music stage show with cowboy songs, comedy, and lively instruments. Adult Series  Out of Your Head and Into Your Heart: Developing a Character   Description  Have you ever caught yourself in your “Actor Brain” while performing?  “What’s my next line? My big scene is coming up! Am I loud enough?”   The chasm between the actor’s head and the character’s heart can feel overwhelming! By learning to live in the moment, this workshop will help hone your observational and textual analysis skills by developing complex characters. Actors will explore and perform a monologue from a chosen selection while gaining the finesse needed to truthfully embody a unique and juicy character. Description Where can you become a rockstar jamming in a sold-out arena, an astronaut careening through space, and be belly laughing with your friends all at the same time? Improv class! Actors will build confidence and creativity through imagination expansion, group-based games, and polishing their listening skills-all of which are vital for any performance-based art. In this class, actors will learn how to break-down a monologue chosen just for them, further memorization approaches, and sharpen their vocal/physical acting techniques.
