Join San Juan Mountains Association staff and volunteers for an interpretive naturalist hike! Learn about the wildflowers, ecology, and geology of the San Juan Mountains.

Experience the world-famous Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad's iconic canyon views along the highline in just over 5 hours. If you are looking for an unforgettable train adventure with incredible geological features and fantastic scenery that is downright jaw-dropping, look no further than these steam train excursions departing from the Durango Depot and traveling deep into the wilderness inaccessible by any roads. These excursions are perfect for families with children or those on a tight schedule.

First Friday Pop Up at Bucks Parlor. Swing in any first Friday of the month to see local artist and buy some cool vintage! Friday April 1st we will have three makers in the shop. One with lovely copper electraform jewelry, a ceramic artist and a textile artist. Please follow our socials for more info.

Old West Cowboy Music Show and Chuckwagon Supper. Durango's favorite family entertainment since 1969. Bar D Wranglers perform in concert after supper with music and songs of old west cowboys, comedy, and lively instrumentals. The show is fun for the whole family.    Activities, shops, and ticketing open at 4:30. Supper is at 6:30. Open Memorial Day Weekend through September - Rain or Shine ! Reservations are required.

Create Art and Tea is now hosting First Friday. First Friday is an effort to bring art and charitable foundations together. On the First Friday of every month, Create Art and Tea will host an art opening featuring new artists.    Featured artists will choose a charity to support. A portion of the proceeds made from purchased art will go to the organization of choice. On opening night, you can expect light refreshments, live musical performances, the opportunity to meet the artists, and hear about the charitable organizations. The works for sale will remain in the loft area of the gallery for the remaining duration of each month.   Times may vary. City of Durango and Credit Union of Colorado present Movies in the Park! The movies in the park series if free to the community thanks to local sponsors. Come enjoy watching family-friendly movies on a 20' movie screen!   Bring blankets, chairs, family and friends and enjoy a movie together. Prior to the movie, enjoy live music, local youth talent and hands-on activities. Arrive in time for the T-Shirt cannon and prize giveaways!   Popcorn and beverages are available for purchase. Activities begin at 7:00pm movies will begin 15 minutes after sunset!

Outdoor Shakespeare is back! Durango Theatreworks at Fort Lewis College presents Shakespeare Under the Stars with the endearing Much Ado About Nothing. The production is directed by award-winning director Robert Faires of Austin, TX, and features a talented cast of seven actors who will play all of the central characters. Much Ado will play outside in FLC's beautiful Busby Amphitheatre. Come join us as we continue the tradition.
