Learn more about what we're crafting at Animas Chocolate & Coffee Co., AND sample our incredible chocolate at our in-cafe chocolate tastings!    Join us every other Wednesday at 5:00 pm for a free, educational chocolate tasting. These tastings are designed to educate our staff or highlight in-house products we're currently developing, and we love to have the public join us!   No ticket or RSVP is necessary, simply join us in the cafe to sit in, enjoy some chocolate, and learn something new!
Community Concerts Series - Kirk James Blues Band
5:00pm / Rochester Hotel
The Community Foundation Supporting Southwest Colorado is proud to present the 2022 Community Concerts! Come on out this summer to Durango's Rochester Hotel for some fantastic music and fun times, and support local non-profit environmental organizations!   July 20—Come enjoy the electric blues sounds of the Kirk James Blues Band to support the La Plata Open Space Conservancy—a Durango-based organization working to permanently protect open lands for the benefit of the community and the general public.   Tickets for each event are $10 at the door on the day of the event, or you can purchase a discounted online punch pass for $50. The punch pass is valid for six punches—you may use one punch each week, or all six punches in one week—or any combination in between!
Music in the Mountains Dinner & Family Concert: The Orchestra Games
5:30pm / Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College
Enjoy a picnic dinner prior to this Festival Orchestra concert designed for children and their families!   The Orchestra Games is the ultimate "get to know the instruments" work because it goes beyond basic descriptions by exploring the personalities of the instruments. Even their strengths and weaknesses. And does so while sprinting through an Olympic array of events.    The work begins with a ceremonial introduction of the players and proceeds to various events such as the low note limbo, the fast note dash, the marathon, and many others. These events demonstrate the capabilities of orchestral instruments while keeping the audience happily engaged in friendly competition.   5:30 p.m. Casual Dinner and root beer floats in CCH courtyard  6:30 p.m. Concert   For Special Needs seating please call the festival office to assist you with your tickets 970-385-6820
