Hotline Advocate Training
8:00am / Alternative Horizons
Volunteers Needed   Alternative Horizons supports and empowers survivors of domestic violence. AH is currently looking for advocates to staff our 24-Hour hotline, including those who are bi-lingual. Alternative Horizons needs 15 or more ongoing advocate to staff our hotline. This position only requires that you be able to take calls in a quiet, confidential safe place. Join us for a free, comprehensive training, July 11th through 14th. Please call the office for more information 970-247-4374. Aerial & Theater Camp
8:30am / Alpine Aerial Acrobatics
Learn to fly with Alpine Aerial Acrobatics aerial & circus arts summer camps! All levels and all ages welcome in this aerial & theater camp. The focus of this week of camp will be learning aerial acrobatic skills on aerial silks, lyra and trapeze as well as theater improv skills to choreograph engaging aerial routines that tell a story. AAA day camps run Monday - Thursday from 8:30am - 12:30pm at the Durango Sports Club. Please send campers with snack, lunch and a water bottle daily.

Learn to fly with Alpine Aerial Acrobatics aerial & circus arts summer camps! This camp is for experienced aerialists who are ready to take their skills to the the next level. Campers will do a deep dive on the apparatus of their choice to create a higher-level routine and advance their skills. AAA day camps run Monday - Thursday from 8:30am - 12:30pm at the Durango Sports Club.

9:30am / Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad
Experience the world-famous Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad's iconic canyon views along the highline in just over 5 hours. If you are looking for an unforgettable train adventure with incredible geological features and fantastic scenery that is downright jaw-dropping, look no further than these steam train excursions departing from the Durango Depot and traveling deep into the wilderness inaccessible by any roads. These excursions are perfect for families with children or those on a tight schedule.
Film Class for Teens all week
3:00pm / Durango Arts Center
Learn the basics of creating your very own movie!   Taught by film and documentary maker, John Sheedy, kids from 6th grade and up can learn from a master of filmmaking about scripting, filmography, and editing. All they need is a smartphone with a camera and a simple app!   Class runs June 20th through July 21st.  Monday - Thursday  3-5pm ONE WEEK BREAK THE WEEK OF JULY 4TH $300 for entire class Scholarships Available!
Bar D Chuckwagon Suppers Nightly
4:30pm / Bar D Chuckwagon Suppers
Old West Cowboy Music Show and Chuckwagon Supper. Durango's favorite family entertainment since 1969. Bar D Wranglers perform in concert after supper with music and songs of old west cowboys, comedy, and lively instrumentals. The show is fun for the whole family.    Activities, shops, and ticketing open at 4:30. Supper is at 6:30. Open Memorial Day Weekend through September - Rain or Shine ! Reservations are required.
